ZAC BROWN BAND BRINGS A VARIETY OF MUSICAL TASTES TO WPB IN SUPPORT OF THE BAND'S LATEST TOUR
Last night, the Zac Brown band took the stage at the iThink Amphitheater in West Palm Beach Florida to a nearly sold out crowd.. The band played for over 2 and a 1/2 hours And featured their hits, new music, and a nifty assortment of cover songs in a 3 act set.
With the weather cooperating, Zac Brown took the stage and kicked off the show as a solo artist singing the band's big hit "Toes". With only his guitar in hand, Brown went into "Free / "Into The Mystic" and "Whiskey's Gone". As different songs were played, Brown would introduce a band member to the audience and he would add another instrument as well. The middle of act 1 was a great surprise with a tribute to country by singing "Dixieland Delight" / "Forever and ever, Amen" / "9 To 5".
For the band's second act, a small brass section was added, along with two backup singers and better lighting befitting that of a larger stadium show. Heartfelt ballads such as "Sweet Annie" and "Goodbye In Her Eyes" showcased Brown's beautiful, soulful tone. "Jump Right In", ``Knee Deep", and an awesome rendition on "The Devil Went Down To Georgia'' rounded out the second act.
For the third and final act, Zac Brown brought out the concert opener the Robert Randolph Band, Who added to the Zack Brown band in ending the concert with a medley of pop and R&B hits spanning 5 decades of music. Each band member took the mic and performed vocals of the various songs. Songs like "Happy", Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel", Lionel Richie's ``All Night Long we're great and amazing performances by all the band members. The audience was totally digging it.
For the final song of the night, the Zac Brown band Brown band ended with their big hit, "Colder Weather". A good portion of the song was sung and then weaved itself into "Take It to the Limit" by the Eagles. Beautiful harmonies and a great classic classic song was the perfect fit to wedge between Colder Weather. After singing a couple of verses, the song went back to Colder Weather to end the show.
It was a great night for even greater music.
